Directions to campsite
Drive to Chipata (about 15 km from the Malawi border in the Eastern Province of Zambia).Take the signpost to South Luangwa National Park (coming from Malawi, as you go under the arch at the end of Chipata town turn right, or if coming from Lusaka, it is a left turn just before you would go under the arch signaling the start of Chipata town). Follow the road for approximately 3-4 hours (about 140 km), keep following signs to South Luangwa National Park. The road is mainly dirt with two small stretches of tarmac. Parts of it are being graded each year, but rains have their influences. When you have passed through the Jumbe police check stop, you will be almost onto the good road again! When you reach the tarmac junction, the airport is to the left, you must turn right to come to Croc Valley Camp. Follow the good tar road for about 20 minutes going passed the BP fuel station, go straight passed the T- junction for another couple meters on your right hand side you will see a big sign for Croc valley camp, turn right there, follow the dirt road, another 2 signs will indicate our camp, turn right and just follow the track as it will lead you straight into our camp.

Bordering the South Luangwa National Park, sits the luxurious Croc Valley Boutique Camp with its unique setting that offers comfort by its rustic simplicity. Croc Valley boasts a variety of types of accommodation from our Luxury en-suite tents on the river to our self contained chalets on stilts, or camping on lush green grass under huge evergreen trees on the river back. South Luangwa is renowned for its large concentration of mammals and it is not unusual to see a wide-ranging variety of wildlife from the comfort and safety of your chalet deck, the bar, restaurant and the poolside or one of the many hammocks scattered around. Croc Valley Camp is only two minutes from the National Park entrance and open year round.Whether you want to go on safari in the comfort of our game-viewing vehicle or want to venture out on foot, we offer a safari tailored to your needs. The valley experiences two distinct seasons, the Dry Season from May to November, and the Green Season from December to April. The best time to view game is between July and September although during the wet season the Bird life is exceptional.
