Drive for 11.7km then turn right onto the Collings pass road. Drive for 27.5km and campsite turn off will be on right hand side

Comments, Rules and Notes

  • Comments: The campsite is situated on a working beef farm in the Harrismith/Verkykerskop district of the Eastern Free State.The campsite is situated next to and around the old farm house. There is a braai area and 2 portable braais.There is a lovely view of the mountain Skeurklip from the campsite.Visitors can hike to the top of the mountain where there are spectacular views at 2364 m above sea level - it is one of the highest peaks in the region. There is a lot of bird life including the Bald Ibis which breed on the farm. A comprehensive bird list is available.The campsite is situated within the Skeurklip conservancy. The area is extremely beautiful, very peaceful and relatively undiscovered.
