Directions and Road Condition

  • Directions to campsite: To get to Koro-Koro Safari Lodge from Gauteng follow the N1 north Highway to Pietersburg (Polokwane) and take the Warmbaths/ Settlers turnoff. Turn left and drive to Warmbaths, now called Bela-Bela. Go through the centre of Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) along Chris Hani drive, past the Aventura resort, until the traffic circle and turn left. This is New Rooiberg road - the R516 going towards Rooiberg and Thabazimbi. Follow the R516 for 17, 4 kilometres and turn left at the Koro-Koro Safari Lodge sign. Follow the dirt road for 1, 7 kilometres, on your right you will Koro-Koro Safari Lodge's main gate. Please note that entrance is only by prior arrangement, so you need to let us know approximately what time you expect to arrive.

  • Comments: Koro-Koro Safari Lodge, is a world capturing the romance and tradition of a bygone era, the time of classic safari. Koro-Koro, meaning "place of the yellow billed hornbill", is a private Safari Lodge. The lodge is situated in a malaria free area at the foot of the majestic Waterberg mountain range. Koro-Koro is fully game-fenced, 150 Hectares in size and covered by typical bushveld vegetation with large watering holes and host to a variety of animal and bird species. The lodge is a comfortable 90 minute drive from Johannesburg International Airport, where a warm welcome awaits you at Koro-Koro Safari Lodge. Once you have experienced our superb hospitality, you will keep coming back, time and again. Experience the magic of Koro-Koro and the African bushveld.
